Dahlia Tuber Policies

We’re so glad you’re here! Before you shop, here’s everything you need to know about ordering dahlias from Dynomite Farm.

Our Promise to You

Every dahlia tuber we sell is grown right here on our small organic flower farm in Santa Cruz, California. We never resell other growers’ tubers — what you’re getting is 100% Dynomite Farm grown, nurtured with care, and free of pesticides.

Each tuber is guaranteed to have at least one viable growing eye and will arrive in excellent condition, packaged with extra care to ensure it reaches you safely.

Not satisfied? Just reach out to us at support@dynomitefarm.com within 2 days of receiving your shipment. We want you to be thrilled with your order!

A Note About Your Cart

Here’s the thing about shopping online for limited items — having something in your cart doesn’t mean it’s yours yet. Until checkout is complete and you receive your confirmation email, another shopper could snap up those same tubers. (We know, it’s frustrating! But that’s just how e-commerce platforms work.)

Pro tip: If you’ve got your eye on something special, complete checkout promptly to secure your selections.

Shipping

We currently ship dahlia tubers throughout the continental United States. Unfortunately, we’re unable to ship to Hawaii, Canada, or international locations at this time.  For shipments to Alaska, email support@dynomitefarm.com and we will figure something out

When Your Tubers Arrive

Open your package right away and give your tubers a good look! We inspect each one multiple times before shipping, but if you spot any concerns, email us at support@dynomitefarm.com within 48 hours with photos.

Returns, Replacements & Refunds

We stand behind the quality of our tubers, but we also know that dahlias are living things and Mother Nature has her own ideas. Here’s how we handle it:

What we can fix:

  • Quality issues reported within 48 hours of delivery (with photos)

What we can’t fix:

  • Improper storage after delivery (tubers drying out or rotting)
  • Planting mishaps, weather extremes, or general garden challenges
  • Issues reported after July 1st

If something goes wrong —take a picture and Email us at support@dynomitefarm.com.  We’ll work together on a solution — either a replacement (if available), a similar variety, or a credit toward a future order.

All claims require photo documentation and must be reported by July 1st.

Substitutions & Cancellations

All sales are final — no cancellations, please. That said, Mother Nature sometimes has other plans. If a tuber doesn’t make it through storage and we can’t ship your variety, we’ll reach out and together we’ll find the best solution.

Dahlia Virus

We follow all American Dahlia Society (ADS) best practices: sanitizing tools between cuts, culling any questionable plants, and using only organic pest management.

Here’s the reality though: according to the ADS research, approximately 85% of healthy, symptom-free dahlia plants carry at least one virus. Dahlia viruses have been around for over a century and can exist with little to no visible symptoms. We do everything we can to minimize risk, but we want you to know the facts.

Sometimes what looks like a virus is simply a plant that needs better soil, water, or fertilizer. Reach out to us at support@dynomitefarm.com with photos and we’ll help troubleshoot.
