The soil finally said yes.
We’ve been watching the thermometer for weeks, and when it climbed above 60° and stayed there — that was our green light. The dahlia tubers are going into the beds, and as of today, close to 130 are already in the ground at Dynomite Farm.
There is something quietly thrilling about this moment every year. In a three months or so (cross your fingers), these beds will be shoulder-high with beautiful blooms and color. And sometime around then, we hope to see you here cutting flowers!
We plant with intention. Each variety chosen for its bloom time, its color story, its ability to make someone stop mid-row and say oh wow, that one. That’s what we’re after, every time.
The season is coming together beautifully. We’ll keep sharing as the shoots push through the soil and the farm starts to wake up.
If you’re not yet a member, now is a wonderful time — reservations for the U-Cut season fill faster than the dahlias bloom.
With gratitude from the flowers, Markus & The Dynomite Farm Team
