Al Almand is a medium laciniated dahlia in orange, with split, fringed petal tips that give each bloom a feathery edge. It was registered in 1993 by Almand of Almand Dahlia Gardens in Bayside, California.
This is a hard-to-find older variety that few growers still carry, which makes it a nice addition for collectors of laciniated forms. Every Al Almand tuber we ship is grown, hand-divided and inspected at division here at Dynomite Farm in Santa Cruz.
