Gitts Crazy is a 7-inch stellar dahlia in golden bronze, with a rosy purple reverse on each petal. The narrow petals crease and fold back toward the stem, so both colors show at once and the blooms look full of motion.
Bred by Nicholas Gitts of Swan Island Dahlias, it won the American Dahlia Society’s Derrill W. Hart Medal as the top-scoring new stellar in trial gardens. Plants are tall at about 5.5 feet and bloom late in the season, so give them a sturdy stake. Every Gitts Crazy tuber we ship is grown, hand-divided and inspected at division here at Dynomite Farm in Santa Cruz.
