Maki is a giant informal decorative with blooms over 10 inches across, pink splashed and streaked with purple. Because it is a sport of Emory Paul, the plant can also throw solid pink or solid purple blooms, so every plant is a little different.
It is one of the biggest dahlias you can grow, held on strong stems on bushy plants about 4 feet tall. It blooms later in the season, so give it time and a sturdy stake. Every Maki tuber we ship is grown, hand-divided and inspected at division here at Dynomite Farm in Santa Cruz.
