AC Rosebud looks like an heirloom rose: its 4 to 5-inch informal decorative blooms open with a golden yellow heart and petals brushed in rosy red toward the edges. The swirled, rose-like form is what makes people stop and ask what it is.
Bred by Ken Greenway of Accent Dahlias in Snohomish, Washington, it blooms early and keeps producing on strong, reliable stems. Plants reach about 5 feet. Growers report that bouquets with AC Rosebud sell quickly at the farm stand. Every AC Rosebud tuber we ship is grown, hand-divided and inspected at division here at Dynomite Farm in Santa Cruz.
