Blyton Softer Gleam is a ball dahlia in soft golden honey, brushed with apricot orange at the petal tips. The color lightens as each bloom opens, so a single plant offers a range of warm, glowing tones.
Bred by Les Stothard in England, it holds the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit and has made the American Dahlia Society’s Fabulous Fifty many times. It reblooms reliably until frost on plants 4 to 5 feet tall, with great stems and the long vase life ball dahlias are known for. Every Blyton Softer Gleam tuber we ship is grown, hand-divided and inspected at division here at Dynomite Farm in Santa Cruz.
