KA’s® Cafe Mauve has mocha cream petals backed with raspberry, so every bloom shows two colors as it opens. The 4 to 6-inch informal decorative flowers sometimes twist and curl like Café au Lait and sometimes stay straight, so one plant can give you two different looks.
Plants reach 3 to 4 feet with sturdy stems that carry the blooms well, and they keep producing through the season. The antique, smoky coloring blends with almost anything, which is why florists ask for it. Expect about five days in the vase. We grow KA’s® Cafe Mauve in Santa Cruz as a licensed KA’s® grower, about half a mile from where Kristine Albrecht bred it.
