I am volunteering at Dynomite Farm, 2331 Mattison Lane, Santa Cruz, California, to help lift, wash, label and store dahlia tubers.

Assumption of risk

I understand that farm work is outdoor, physical work that includes digging, lifting, bending, kneeling, using hand tools, and working with soil, water and plants on uneven ground and in changing weather. Risks include strains, cuts, scrapes, slips and falls, insect stings and allergic reactions. I take part voluntarily and accept these risks.

Release

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I release Dynomite Farm and its owner from any claims arising from my participation as a volunteer, except claims caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Health and safety

I am physically able to do this work. I will tell Dynomite Farm about any allergies or conditions that matter for outdoor work, follow the instructions I am given, and use tools only as shown.

Volunteer status

I am a volunteer, not an employee, and I will not receive wages. Any thank-you gift is a courtesy.

Photos

Dynomite Farm may take photos at the farm. If I would rather not appear in photos, I will say so at check-in.

Age

Volunteers must be 16 or older. If I am under 18, a parent or guardian must read this waiver and sign it at check-in.

My party

Each person in my party agrees to this waiver. Anyone joining me signs a copy at check-in.

Agreement

By checking the waiver box when I book to volunteer, I confirm that I have read and agree to this Volunteer Waiver and Release.
