Glorie van Heemstede is a classic waterlily dahlia in clear lemon to buttery yellow, paling to a luminous soft yellow late in the season. Unusually for a waterlily, the blooms stand upright on long, strong stems.
Bred by Cor Geerlings in the Netherlands in 1947, it has been grown commercially for nearly eighty years and holds the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. It blooms early, stays loaded with flowers and lasts well in the vase. Plants reach 4 to 4.5 feet and benefit from staking. Every Glorie van Heemstede tuber we ship is grown, hand-divided and inspected at division here at Dynomite Farm in Santa Cruz.
