We grow over 100 varieties of dahlias across 19 raised beds, and from late June through October we open the farm for private U-Cut Flower Experiences. One party at a time. By appointment only. A U-Cut visit at Dynomite Farm is a private, 90-minute flower cutting experience. When you arrive, the farm is yours. There are no other visitors, no crowds, and no rush. You walk the beds at your own pace, choosing the stems that speak to you, cutting your own bouquet from flowers that were in the ground just hours before.
We provide everything you need — buckets, clippers, and guidance on what is blooming and ready to cut. You bring your own sense of what is beautiful.
Most guests spend the full 90 minutes in the field. Most leave with far more flowers than they expected.
Timing matters when it comes to picking your own flowers. Santa Cruz dahlias bloom from late June through October, with peak bloom typically running from mid-July through mid-September. That is the window when the beds are fullest and the variety selection is most diverse.
The ranunculus season runs from late March through mid-May and offers a completely different palette — soft, layered blooms in peach, rose, cream, coral, and burgundy.

Booking is done entirely online. Visit dynomitefarm.com, click Book a U-Cut, choose your date and time, and complete checkout. Your confirmation and all visit details arrive automatically.
We do not accept walk-ins. Every visit is reserved in advance. This is intentional — it is how we ensure that every guest has the farm to themselves for the full 90 minutes.
Current pricing and availability are always shown on the booking page. We recommend booking as soon as you know your date, especially for weekend mornings during peak bloom.
Book a Pick Your Own Flowers Santa Cruz Experience at Dynomite Farm
U-Cut visits are priced per person. If you are bringing someone along who would like to join you in the field, a Companion Pass covers their cutting experience. If your guest prefers to walk the farm without cutting, a Join a Friend pass is available at a lower rate.
Groups of up to 10 are welcome. For larger groups or corporate team building visits, reach out directly at @dynomitefarm to discuss options.
